Staff
 Steve Suttill, Pastor
Steve became the Pastor of Mountain View Baptist Church in April of 2006. He and his wife Patty and their three children, Austin, J.T. and Jenna, came here from Missouri. Steve grew up in the Phoenix area in a Christian home and placed his faith in Jesus at age 6. He was called into the ministry in 1995 and served as a youth minister while attending Bible college. Steve and Patty married that same year. Steve earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies in 2000 at Southwestern College and a Masters of Divinity from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri in 2004.
 Jerry Travis, Minister of Music
In August of 2007 Jerry accepted the call to join the staff of Mountain View as Minister of Music. Jerry and his wife Marla have been in Arizona for 21 years and have been residents of Phoenix since 1992. Marla is a sixth grade school teacher here in Phoenix. Jerry and Marla have two children: Sarah, who just graduated from Northern Arizona University, and Stephen, who just completed his first year at Arizona State University. Jerry was born in California and was the son of a minister. He placed his faith in Jesus Christ for salvation at the age of seven and was baptized. Jerry was called to ministry in 1976 at the age of 22, and then attended Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary. He graduated in 1979 with a Master of Church Music and Master of Religious Education double major. Jerry met Marla in Longview, Washington and they got married in 1983. Jerry has served on staff in churches in California, Oregon, Washington and Arizona since 1976 before coming to Mountain View.
 Cindy Scherrer, Secretary
Cindy was born in 1946 in Denver, Colorado. Her parents moved to Arizona in 1948 and they have resided in Phoenix ever since. In April of 1962, by God's great mercy and grace, He drew Cindy to Himself and convicted her of her sin and need for Jesus Christ's forgiveness. She then received Jesus Christ as her Savior and Lord. Knowing the love and mercy of Jesus Christ personally and through His Word is the delight of her life. She prays daily for opportunities to share the gospel message with everyone who comes into the church office. Cindy is active in the Women's Prayer Ministry and has the privilege of teaching Women's Bible Study here at Mountain View.
Dale Scherrer, Custodian Since 1994 Dale and Cindy have joyfully served the Lord here at Mountain View. They met in 1963 when Dale's family moved into the same neighborhood where Cindy's family resided and were married in June 1964. God has blessed them with two wonderful children and grandchildren. Dale and Cindy can testify that Mountain View is one of the most loving, Christ-centered churches in the Phoenix area.
